Good news: Ensemble Zefiro, a period ensemble that focuses on Baroque- and Classical-era music that prominently features wind instruments, founded by Alfredo Bernardini and Paolo and Alberto Grazzi, has won Premio Abbiati 2016 for best chamber group.

The Italian music critics’ prize “Franco Abbiati” was established in 1980. Named after Franco Abbiati, who had been for forty years music critic of Italian main newspaper “Corriere della Sera”, it is an award granted to the protagonists of Italian artistic life conferred by the National Association of music critics. Alongside the reports of absolute merit – best show, best artists of the season (in all areas) – the prize Franco Abbiati has contributed to the reporting of young talents and artistic initiatives or education of special national significance.

All TYBO’s staff congratulates with Alfredo Bernardini and Ensemble Zefiro: Alfredo Bernardini will conduct TYBO during the summer concert tour and will also be in the workshops and auditions to be held in May in Venice.
